I was a fairly young mother, which had its challenges…but upheaval of established routines wasn’t really one of them since my life, marriage and career were still in the development stage!
My 40-something cousin and her 50-something husband just brought home their beautiful adopted baby girl, and are just over the moon! But they have had many years of relative control over their time and environment, and may be in for some difficult adjustments no matter how much their new bundle of joy is a dream come true.
Does anyone have advice I can pass along to mature new parents?
My advice to you is to focus on your body from the very start, stretch marks as an example , start focusing on that from day 1! Exercise throughout your pregnancy and try to get into a work out program as soon as you can after giving birth.
