Billy Crystal has created one of the most versatile and prolific careers in the entertainment industry, finding success in front of the camera, as a performer in film and television, and behind the scenes as a writer, director and producer.  Leading American entertainers Bob Costas, Jimmy Fallon, Whoopi Goldberg, Rob Reiner, Marc Shaiman, Martin Short, Barbara Walters and Robin Williams saluted Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize recipient Billy Crystal in the Kennedy Center Opera House.  Basq was a generous supporter of the event, sponsoring gifts for Mr. Crystal and all the celebrity attendees.

From parenting tips to issues on kids health, Metro Moms works with the community to keep them informed. Dr. Sue Hubbard was a guest speaker, helping to answer questions and provide insights on raising a healthy child.  From 1997 to 2002, Dr. Sue was a regular contributor to the WFAA-TV (ABC) show Good Morning Texas doing segments on pediatric health. She has also been named “Best Pediatrician” in Dallas by D Magazine and has also been listed in Texas Monthly as a Super Doctor. Dr. Sue has also been awarded the Katherine Ripley Award for Electronic Media.  Basq is proud to sponsor MetroPlex Baby and their efforts at buidling a strong parenting community.

The Orphaned Starfish - Making a Difference for Children around the world

Basq Skin Care is an on-going supporter of the Orphaned Starfish Foundation of which Basq co-founder Kelli Kenny is a founding Board Member.   The foundation helps street children, orphans, and victims of abuse in developing countries escape a cycle of poverty through the development of vocational skills. This year, the foundation has achieved tremendous growth sponsoring over 4,000 childrne.  Basq was a major contributor at the Foundation's Annual Benefit on October 18, 2007 in Battery Park, New York. www.orphanedstarfish.org.
